# App Store Appeal - Guideline 2.1

||
Our app "闲言" (Xianyan) is a sentence/quote discovery and creation tool, not a book or magazine distributor. We respectfully appeal for the following reasons:
|
||
|
||
1. No book/magazine distribution: Our app has NO e-book reader, EPUB parser, PDF reader, or magazine viewer. We do not provide any full-text book reading experience.
|
||
|
||
2. Tool, not publisher: Our core function uses the Hitokoto public API to provide random single-sentence quotes — each is just one sentence, not a book chapter. The RSS reader is a generic parsing tool where users add their own subscriptions. The read-later feature is a bookmark tool like Pocket/Instapaper. Articles are entirely user-generated (UGC).

||
3. No content monetization: No in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paywalls for any reading content. All content is free.
|
||
|
||
4. Content governance: Users can report, block, and submit corrections for content — these are tool features, not publisher responsibilities.
|
||
|
||
5. App Store positioning: Our subtitle is "句子阅读与创作工具" (Sentence Reading & Creation Tool). Our app agreement states: "Content comes from public sources and user submissions."

||
|
||
6. Precedent of similar apps on China mainland App Store without publication permits: 句读 (Judou), 句子控 (Juzikong), 句本 (Juben), 一句·OneCue, 植语录 (Zhiyulu) — all provide sentence/quote content. 优读 (Youdu), 好读 (Haodu), InRead, Recall — all provide RSS/read-later functionality. These apps operate without publication permits, confirming our app's tool classification is appropriate.

We request reconsideration. Our app is a tool for discovering, saving, and organizing content — not a publication distributor.

我们的应用「闲言」是一款句子/语录发现与创作工具，而非书籍/杂志分发应用。我们恳请重新审核，理由如下：

|
||
1. 不分发书籍/杂志：应用内没有电子书阅读器、EPUB解析器、PDF阅读器或杂志阅读功能，不提供任何全文书籍阅读体验。
|
||
|
||
2. 工具而非出版方：核心功能使用一言(Hitokoto)公开API提供随机单句语录——每条仅为一句话，不是书籍章节。RSS阅读器是通用解析工具，用户自行添加订阅源。稍后阅读是书签工具(类似Pocket/Instapaper)。文章完全由用户创作(UGC)。

6. 中国大陆App Store已上架同类应用先例(无需出版物许可)：句读、句子控、句本、一句·OneCue、植语录(语录类)；优读、好读、InRead、Recall(RSS/稍后阅读类)。这些应用确认了工具类分类的合理性。
